Books Worth Reading - Pretty Woman
Hi again! Back again with another Books Worth Reading. This week I read "Pretty Woman" by Fern Michaels. This was a book that was passed along to me from my Mom and my Grandma. My first Fern Michaels book.
It was a nice love story. I loved most of the characters, though Kurt's character really drove me nuts through part of the story. I was writing endings in my head that weren't necessarily nice for Kurt. But...I was happy with how things turned out. A nice little read.

Books Worth Reading - Born In Fire
Anyone who knows me knows that I have always been an avid reader. I used to read late into the night, even as kid. As I've aged (and I'm not THAT old) I've gone through spurts of reading and not reading - not reading as much as I would like over the last few years - the kids have been my priority. But now that the kids are a little older (and sleeping through the night!), I'm back on the reading train. Last year, I tried to start a book club with some girlfriends, but they too have young kids and didn't feel ready to commit. This year, however, I have been invited to join a book club - YAY! I am so excited, and am energized to keep on reading. So I thought I would keep track of what I read, and share some brief thoughts about each book. So, welcome to "Books Worth Reading!"
The last book I read was Born In Fire by Nora Roberts. My first ever Nora Roberts read (hard to believe with over 200 novels written by her!)
Born in Fire is book 1 of a the Irish Born trilogy. I really enjoyed it. It was fun, romantic, magical - a great escape, and I look forward to reading the next book in the series!

Joy Is What Happens
A friend of mine posted this quote today, and I think it is so true. So often I hear people complain about all sorts of things...the root of their complaints often seems to be money based (I would be happier if I had/made more money...)...and I find so often people fail to realize that we really are very lucky - we have so much compared to so many...we must not forget about what we do have already, and how good things really are...

YOU are a Good Mom
I saw this today, and for me it served as a reminder...despite my to-do lists and my never ending self-chatter about all the things I need (or want) to do for my kids, my husband, and our home, I too often forget that even when I don't get those things done, underneath it all, I am a good Mom.
I love this, and I think that many of us Moms need to be reminded that yes, we really are good Moms, even when our inner voices tell us otherwise.
